Dreamkeepers provides assistance to students at risk of dropping out of college due to unexpected financial emergencies. Dreamkeepers assistance was created to help students stay in college and meet their educational goals, ultimately, securing a better financial future.

To be eligible to apply, a student must be:
- enrolled in an eligible curriculum program or approved continuing education certificate course;
- making successful progress in their program, as demonstrated by their transcript and/or Student Progress Report(s);
- meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements;
- experiencing an unforeseen financial emergency, and
- at risk of being unable to continue in school due to that emergency.
Assistance is granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability or national origin.
Students are referred by faculty or staff, or can self-refer. After a student submits the online application, the program administrator will review the application. The student’s transcript and satisfactory academic progress are assessed, and Student Progress Reports are requested from the student’s instructors. Documentation and/or additional information is required. The program administrator will schedule a meeting with the student to discuss the student's situation. When all related materials have been submitted and assessment is complete, a decision will be made regarding the student's eligibility. The Dreamkeepers college administrator will contact the student.
To the extent possible, all funds are paid directly to the utility, business, or other creditor involved in the student's financial emergency.
